Over the last several weeks, we have been helping our house bunny friend through a period of being sick.  During this time, she had many trips to the vet and was given a routine of antibiotics and other helpful medications to take.  Her vet has been very kind throughout her illness, and the staff at the vet's office welcomed her with open arms when we first brought her in.  They even sent us a "welcome" greeting card when she became a new patient!

We are very saddened to share that on Monday, our friend crossed peacefully over the Rainbow Bridge.  She was a very happy bunny (and sooooo soft!) and spent many great years with us and our cat friends.  She was not afraid of the cats, and they grew to like her as well, once they figured out what hopping and the rest of her crazy bunny movements looked like.

Always adorable
However hard it is, we are comforted by the fact that now she is no longer uncomfortable or in pain, and she can hop in all the green meadows that her heart desires, while playing with our other furry friends who we have lost over the years.  This is never an easy thing to go through, no matter how big or small the companion animal was, and she will be missed (though we are sure she's around us, keeping the cats in line!)

Thank you for your kind words through this time; your support continues to be much appreciated by our whole crew.

I'm so sorry for your loss. It's always a difficult, painful thing to lose a good friend, so matter their size.

Your comment and the helpful purrs, they are received with thanks. It sure does help to know that she is now happy and healthy again, free to do whatever her bunny self desires :)

I'm so sorry. We used to have a lop ear bunny that was so sweet. We hated losing her.
Hugs,
